Brin\u00adging tog\u00ade\u00adther leading scho\u00adlars, the book ana\u00adly\u00adses how Russian elites have con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adted anti-Ukrai\u00adnian sen\u00adti\u00adment through propa\u00adganda, diplo\u00admacy, edu\u00adca\u00adtion, and histo\u00adrical narra\u00adtives, ultim\u00adately por\u00adtray\u00ading the des\u00adtruc\u00adtion of Ukrai\u00adnian sta\u00adte\u00adhood and iden\u00adtity as a central aim of Putin\u2019s regime. Tracing these narra\u00adtives from Sta\u00adli\u00adnist terror to today\u2019s geno\u00adci\u00addal poli\u00adcies and prac\u00adti\u00adces, the volume shows how revi\u00adsio\u00adnist myth-making has driven Russia\u2019s war and why under\u00adstanding this mytho\u00adlogy is essen\u00adtial to compre\u00adhending the conflict.<\/p>\n
